Keratosis Follicularis Squamosa-Dohi(KFS)

Abstract
Keratosis follicularis squamosa-Dohi(KFS) is a rare condition of skin disease manifesting mostly among the Oriental(yellow) races, which is characterized by having pin-head to pea sized dark-gray to light-brown pigmented or depigmented and slightly depressed hyperkeratoic macular lesion. The lesion often show scales detached partially from the surrounding normal¢¥ skin and keratofollicular black central dot, and are found mainly unexposed areas of the skin such as over the lower back and abdomen, also they are rarely seen on the skin of exposed areas, without causing distinct subjective symptoms.
Author presented a case of KFS manifested 41-year-old Korean man and discussed about the histopathology, clinical characteristics, differential diagnosis, treatment and course of the disease, and stressed similarities of KFS to Disseminated Superficial Actinic Porokeratosis(DSAP) clinically and histopathologically, and reviewed the literatures of the disease.
